With all these questions swirling and school and kinder registrations upon us, we've arranged three FREE (thanks City of Yarra) information sessions run by experts and designed to support you as you prepare your children for upcoming transitions. Walker Learning coaches from Early Life Foundations, respected experts in early childhood development, parenting and education, will lead the sessions.
Session 1 - Ready Set Go! School Readiness

Covers readiness indicators, support strategies and the importance of sending a child to school when they have the maturity to make the most of their learning and to enjoy their 13 years of formal schooling rather than just “cope”.
Suitable for: parents and carers of 3-5 year olds thinking about when to start their child at school or preschool.
Session 2 - The Importance of Childhood & Play

Focuses on childhood and child development and what children need most in their early years, highlighting how important encouraging and allowing children to play is for learning, life skills, self-esteem and resilience.
Suitable for: parents and carers of children of all ages.
Session 3 - Understanding Children’s Behaviour
Wednesday, 18 August 2021, 8:00 PM
Looks at some of the reasons for children's challenging behaviours and gives some practical strategies for how you can effectively support and guide them. Will include the opportunity to ask questions so specific issues can be covered.
Suitable for: parents and carers of 2-10 year olds.
Children's Week 2020
We've had to cancel all our usual fundraisers this year so we're really grateful to the crew at Locked Down Trivia who put us on their fundraising recipient list for the 7 August 2020 Locked Down Trivia session.
