Meet our 2023-24 executive committee

Updated: Oct 26, 2023

At our Annual General Meeting we elected our new executive team to lead our volunteer committee of management for the 2023-24 year. We're thrilled by the skills and enthusiasm that they each bring so we've asked them each to introduce themselves and their vision for our community.

President - Jenny Yuen

Volunteer President of Collingwood Toy Library 2023-24 Jenny Yuen

I first discovered the Collingwood Toy Library when my oldest child was three months old. The Maternal and Child Health Nurse introduced it to our new parents group and I loved everything about the library; the seemingly infinite range of toys, reducing clutter at home and reducing waste.

Being President of the Committee of Management is a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community and ensure the organisation is sustainable for other families into the future.

I now have two kids, live locally and work in tertiary education as a Lecturer in Nursing. I am committed to making the Library equitable and inclusive and further embedding the toy library in our community.

Vice-President - Ketevan Nadareishvili

I first discovered the toy library when my oldest was one. I now have 3 kids and the things I love most about being a member are that it helps us live much more sustainably and save space at home. It also helps me teach my kids that borrowing is as valuable as owning.

I’m the Vice President of the Committee of Management and contribute my professional skills as an accountant, a business owner and Chair of a kindergarten committee.

My vision is for a thriving toy library that caters to the whole community and has strong relationships with collaborators and members.

Treasurer - Samuel Reid

Volunteer Secretary of Collingwood Toy Library 2023-24 Cecilia Tulloch

Before our daughter was 3 months we were signed up, regularly borrowing toys, and meeting other families in our local area. Our family values the ability to leverage the range of toys available to continually stimulate and engage with her in a sustainable manner whilst exploring her interests.

As Treasurer for the committee of management, I contribute my banking and finance skillset from 10+ years at a leading Australian bank, and build on the great work of the previous toy tibrary committee and members.

My hope for the toy library is to continually expand our available collection with a compelling economic and sustainable story that appeals to all members of the community and provides an inclusive and welcoming environment for all.

I joined the toy library when my son was 8 months old and we were in the throes of lockdown. The toy library continued to operate during this disruptive period and provided many families, myself included, with much needed entertainment, but also a sense of connection to community. I have loved being a member as the quality and variety of toys is exceptional, such that I am able to reduce the clutter in my house and live more sustainably, whilst not compromising my children's development and enjoyment.

As Secretary of the committee of management, I contribute my professional skills as a lawyer and my personal experience as a stay at home mum of two young children. My hope for the toy library is that it continues to grow and support families to encourage play and creativity in their children.
